How can you pay fixed coupon rates higher than the banks?
EBI Fixed Income Notes is not a term deposit. The coupon rates we offer our investors are facilitated by EBI’s unique investment strategy in which we leverage our extensive expertise across science, investment banking and commercialisation to carefully select late discovery or pre-clinical stage private or public life science companies with assets that have potential for significant value accretion resulting from our active investment. This strategy enables us to support principle and coupon payments to our investors.
Are my returns tied to EBI’s investment performance?
No. EBI is obligated to pay the quoted rates of coupon and the principle on the fixed income product, regardless of the performance of its investments.
What are the key risks?
The Notes are an interest-bearing unsecured debt instrument offered by EBI. Funds will be invested into a portfolio of bioscience and healthcare assets and related operating expenditure. Investors should be mindful that, like all investment, there are risks associated with investing in Ethical Bioscience Investments fixed income product. Risks to take into consideration include, general investment risk, operational risk and liquidity risk.
How long does it take to process my application?
Provided the required supporting documents (certified ID, sophisticated investor certificate, etc) are received with the application. The process for application approval is usually completed the same business day it is received.
When can I expect my first coupon payment?
Within 10 business days following the end of the calendar quarter of your investment.
When will the EBI Fixed Income Notes offer be closed?
There is no closing date. However, allocations are limited, and the Issuer reserves the right to close this Offer at any time.
